My inspiration to create this piece came from my memories of my hometown, Urmi’s springtime. This piece depicts the serenity of rainy weather mixed with the smell of freshly plowed soil and wildflowers blooming in bunches. Urmi in blooms. I am celebrating an ancient language and tradition of the Assyrian new year in this piece.
